Coaches

KHL deeply values all of its volunteer coaches and managers and understands our program is possible because of the countless hours you willingly give throughout the hockey season.

Being a youth hockey coach is incredibly rewarding. Coaches are positive role models, looked up to by children who love the game of hockey. As a coach, you certainly need to know the rules of the game, but it's also essential to have strong leadership qualities that allow you to communicate and relate with your team. Remember that you are a role model, in a position to develop positive connections with your players. In doing so, you also share strong ethics and solid values.

It is also essential that both coaches and team managers communicate with their player's families. KHL uses SportsEngine for all their communication and they have created a Team Management Guide for Coaches and Team Managers to help you use our website and mobile app efficiently and effectively.
